太陽が消える前に、メロスはお城に着きました。メロスは間に合ったのです。「待て。その人を殺してはいけない。メロスが帰って来た。いま帰って来た。」メロスはそう言おうとしましたが、とても疲れていて、話すことができません。メロスはもう一度言いました。「待て。殺されるのは私だ。メロスだ。」メロスはセリヌンティウスに向かって走りました。メロスはとうとうセリヌンティウスを助けることができました。メロスは泣きながら言いました。「私を叩け。私は途中で一度、悪い夢を見た。私は一度あなたを助けることをあきらめた。」
English Translation
Before the sun disappeared, Melos arrived at the castle. Melos was in time. “Wait. You must not kill him. I’m back. I’m back now,” Melos tried to say, but he was very tired and couldn’t speak. Melos said once again, “Wait. I am the one who will be killed. It’s Melos.” Melos ran toward Selinuntius. Melos could finally save Selinuntius. Melos said while crying, “Slap me. I had a bad dream on the way. I gave up saving you for a while.”
